About Alison

Encouraged as a small child by an artistic mother, Alison always sketched family members and pets, being able to capture a good likeness. From school through to college, her ability to draw became apparent and was recognised throughout her home town of Colchester in Essex.

Using a very unique method of colour mixing, Alison gets all her colours from just using primary colours! Thats right...different shades of blues, reds and yellows. All her artwork images you see on her site will have no browns, greens or grey colours, they will have all been mixed from primaries.

Commission Alison to paint a portrait for you that will take you beyond all expectations. From treasured family portraits to unique compositions of pets, lost loved ones or just your favourite snapshot. Alison loves a challenge.
